Any guesses on what is more challenging than sailing through a storm? Writing a blog post after not having written one in well over a year! 

Here is the TLDR: We covered about 1000 nautical miles, leaving from Southern Mexico and spending time in El Salvador, Nicaragua, one small island in Honduras, Costa Rica & Panama. I was gone EIGHT months and Harry, SEVEN! I went early to go to a Spanish Immersion Program in Puebla – Mexico’s 4th largest city. 

Ten things of Note: 

1. It is still VERY hot and sticky down there in December & January (tropics). 
2. Sailing without a boom and a mainsail has its advantages. (Yes, it broke again.)
3. Spider monkeys may be the best monkeys.
4. Going where folks don’t usually go is still a solid plan.
5. Costa Rica is every bit as expensive as rumored.
6. Bezos’ wealth is so gross.
7. El Salvador is not only one of the safest countries in the world, it’s also full of very happy people (and amazing thrift stores).
8. Nicaragua tamales (Nicatamales) are better than Mexico’s! (shhhhh). 
9. Did I mention the monkeys? 
10. Some sloths are dangerous! 

I think the best way to ease back into this whole blogging thing is to call it here, give you a photo dump, and promise more to come about each country. 5 shorter entries over 1 long one. Yes, it’s settled. Enjoy the pics… Back soon.
